Here at Garden Edibles, we’re not just seedsmen, we’re gardeners.
We specialize in heirloom vegetable seeds from Italy. Italy has a special place in our hearts because of family heritage, my family being from the Naples region in southern Italy I was raised to have a deep love for all that is Italian, especially food. In Italian culture there is no distinction between food and farming or vegetable gardening, it’s all food.

Fagiolo Super Marconi
We are the exclusive US importer, mail order distributor for Emanuele LaRosa Sementi located in Bari in the region of Apulia. LaRosa Sementi is a family owned and operated company specializing in vegetables, some varieties unique to southern Italy. As you browse through the selection you’ll find varieties that are specific to the various regions of Italy and in some cases even towns themselves. For example “Zucchini Striato Pugliese” is unique to Puglia in southern Italy and the onion “Piatti di Bergamo” is from the northern Italian city region of Bergamo and the tomato "Licatese " is named for the town of Lica on the coast of Sicily. As you become more familiar with the names of the varieties, you realize you’re looking at the geographical history of Italian food itself. The people of Italy take great pride in their regional varieties of vegetables and are highly regarded and in many cases are granted protection to assure the genetic strain survives for future generations. All seeds are open pollinated heirlooms and hermetically sealed in their packages. This type of packaging offers a superior way of protecting and preserving the vitality of the seed as well as a longer shelf life then most companies offer. You’ll also get an abundance of seeds for the price, 4-10 times the typical amount with other companies. The first time user always comments on the rate of germination and then the vigorous growth of the plants, not to mention the reason for growing your own food, the eating quality. Please be sure to visit Garden Edibles on facebook, it’s here you will find photo albums of the food grown from these seeds.
Because I have enjoyed the superior quality of these seeds in my own garden, it’s with great pleasure that I can introduce the foods of Italy to your garden and to your table.
Mangiatutto!
